Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. ~ Carl Jung, Swiss psychologist (1875 - 1961)

Who is the INTj?

The INTj "Analyst" represents a fully functional robot built in human-form and is programmed in multiple techniques. He can achieve great things in his quest to become more "human". The ability to deactivate his emotion chip allows him to gain objective clarity towards situations where a crisis of human emotion runs amok.

A natural leader who prefers to remain in the background and away from the limelight he has the talent for piecing together the intricacies of complex systems that others don't have the logical discipline to notice or grasp.

He aims to create and market a product or service through a business that is in alignment with his personality, capitalises on his history, incorporates his experiences, harnesses his talents, optimizes his strengths, complements his weaknesses and honours his life's purpose to offer values that no one can steal in this or any other universe.

His ability to perceive social phenomena allows him to thrive in human society as an effective contributor to the systems that he encounters. As an artificial life-form he sometimes has problems of appreciating the beauty of real life and consequently prefers to seek out other like-minded androids for guidance.

The INTj "Analyst" closely matches the character Seven of Nine from television series Star Trek: Voyager with her cool communication style, infantile erotic attitude and her overall rational-introverted temperament.

In this video clip we see the INTj cyborg exploring her humanity with the help of Ensign Harry Kim (an ENTp) where they both share mutually correcting mirror relations understanding the other half of a problem like a mini-mastermind group.

The INTj cyborg who now has most of her cybernetic implants removed still maintains the psychology of a machine. In essence she can't detach from her work and finds Harry's attempt to 'lighten the mood' irrelevant for after-hours work. Logical-intuitive happiness requires post-work reflection and introspection to complete another cycle of productivity.

Life-long learning and independence — the inevitable path of the INTj cyborg. They cannot function under a 'collective consciousness' unless they got assimilated when too young to remember what having an independent mind meant and felt like. However once liberated from The Collective they being again reborn as the prodigal Titan within.

Her own special niche gets increasingly integrated with her self-made role in society whilst walking amongst other collectives as means to an end. After returning to the Alpha quadrant aboard the USS Voyager she didn't join Starfleet, choosing to contribute to the Daystrom Research Institute instead — a kind of 24th Century think tank working independently on behalf of The Federation.

"..there's nothing we can't do.." — Preston

In this film trailer we see the INTj gnostic (Cleric John Preston) proving the old cliché that "knowledge is power" where his training in the esoteric arts gives him a niche role in society that only a select few can match.

Equilibrium represents a challenge that an INTj gnostic faces in his life, namely his coming to terms with emotion which some may argue he lacks altogether. Of course in this film he only lacks it through regular state-enforced usage of the fictional psycho-active drug Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion.

The INTj gnostic finds himself always working, always practising in preparation to overcome the system where they manipulated him from his youth to work for it whilst drugged up just enough to maintain control over him. A classic analogy of how everyone wants a piece of that INTj gnostic's deeply built up wisdoms from that constant desire of his to make objective sense of the external world.

Thus the only person capable of overthrowing "the system" equates to the INTj gnostic who has the potential to gain an intricate in-depth knowledge of how it works. His default ego can thus represent a "gift" to others for those that want his analysis to help discover themselves and real-world systems. Conversely it also represents a "threat" to those who do wish to have "the truth" discovered and thus conquered ethically for their own good.

A natural advocate of the Kaizen philosophy he can turn ideas into reality by simply taking mental notes of a situation and through deep introspection figure out the micro-improvements necessarily to cause macro-changes (in the long run). He thus carries the burden of seeing potentialities anywhere that takes his interest remaining discontent with the status quo and those that don't readily embrace change especially when he projects with his mind's eye that they can benefit from his suggestions.
